LAZADA Malaysia Courtesy Call To MICCI Northern Region

MICCI Northern Region played host to LAZADA, who made a courtesy call to the Branch Office on 12th June 2023. The Branch's Vice-Chairman Dato' Sasedharan, CEO of Penang Port Sdn Bhd together with our members, Dato' Seri Nazir Ariff, Deputy Group Executive Chairman of Aspen Group, Ms Josephine Kang Partner of PWC PLT - Penang and Ms Helen Teoh, Director of Henry Butcher Malaysia (Penang) Sdn Bhd welcomed Mr Jason Liew, Head of Strategy, Business Development and Mr Alex Lu, Senior Associate, Partnerships, Business Development of LAZADA Malaysia.
LAZADA Malaysia is a member of MICCI and part of its Digital Economic Focus Group, where they have worked together with MICCI and other ecommerce platforms to bring to the government's attention the needs and issues faced by the gig economy. Their purpose of this Courtesy Call was to discuss potential collaboration as partners and explore ways in which they can assist our members in the North in starting their journey of selling/promoting their products and/or services on e-commerce platforms. There were several approaches to be considered, including organising events, webinars, training sessions, etc.
It was a meaningful visit that gave light to what can and cannot be "sold" online.
